This is the ultimate Ayurvedic body treatment. Customized for your specific mental and physical dosha (body type – Vata, Pitta or Kapha), the Body Samadhi session combines a nourishing herbal wrap and skin exfoliation, Ayurvedic balancing foot treatment, East Indian Ayurvedic Abhayanga stimulating and detoxifying body massage with balancing aromatherapeutic, enriching body oils, a mini-facial, and finishes with a mini-Shirodhara, head and scalp massage, and hair treatment. Enhanced with aromatherapy, breath-work and energy work, one is transported from the mundane to the blissful state of Samadhi.
EAST-WEST MASSAGE Shankara Body Samadhi East (50-60 minutes)
Body Samadhi East is a highly balancing and detoxifying Abhayanga full body massage. Dosha-specific nourishing aromatherapeutic oils are used to support emotional and skin type balance. An Ayurvedic balancing foot treatment begins the massage. The treatment finishes with an Ayurvedic facial massage using activated regenerating facial oil selected for the specific skin type of the client. Shankara Body Samadhi West (50-60 minutes)
Body Samadhi West is a relaxing full body massage. Nourishing aromatherapeutic oils are used to support emotional and skin type balance. The treatment finishes with a facial massage using activated regenerating facial oil selected for the specific skin type of the client, and ends with a scalp massage for ultimate relaxation.
Shankara East-West Hand and Foot Samadhi (50-60 minutes)
Hands and feet are luxuriously pampered and rejuvenated with manual micro-dermal abrasion followed by a moisturizing mask for hands, and a stimulating, anti-microbial mask for feet. Age spots and skin discolorations on the backs of hands are treated with an active natural skin lightener followed by a layering of products and a deep moisturizing, aromatherapeutic marma (energy point) massage. The feet are treated with a balancing Ayurvedic massage followed by Western massage using invigorating, refreshing anti-microbial foot oil. Hands and feet are awakened, moisturized, smoothed and softened while your whole body becomes energized yet feeling relaxed and nurtured.
Shankara Eastern Star (50 minutes)
Like the five points of a star, the feet, hands and head are centers of intense energy. This session begins with focus on the feet and hands, massaging with invigorating aromatherapeutic oil. We complete our Shankara Eastern Star treatment with the focus on the head by giving a mini-Shirodhara, head massage and hair treatment. When the star is complete, one feels deeply relaxed, yet revitalized and radiantly shining.
Shankara Western Star (30 minutes)
Like the five points of a star, the feet, hands and head are centers of intense energy. This session begins with focus on the feet and hands, massaging with invigorating aromatherapeutic oil. AYURVEDIC-WESTERN HERBAL-AROMATHERAPEUTIC BODY WRAPS Seaweed - Herb Ayurvedic Body Wrap and Massage (90-120 minutes)
Indications: Detoxification, Cellulite Elimination Support, Toning Shankara’s results-oriented detoxification and cellulite elimination body wrap treatment blends Ayurvedic and Western techniques. The treatment begins with overall body dry brushing to remove dead cells and stimulate the lymphatic system. A blend of organic detoxifying, stimulating and toning seaweed and herbs, clay, herbal extracts, herbal oils and essential oils, are applied to the entire body, which is then wrapped in a warm Mylar blanket for 30 minutes. While the body tissues are being activated, the face is cleansed and scrubbed with a nourishing, gentle herbal exfoliation treatment, detoxification facial mask and given an aromatherapeutic, Ayurvedic facial massage. The seaweed-herbal body wrap is then rubbed off to exfoliate and smooth the skin. A specialized massage technique to help disperse cellulite accumulation is applied to targeted areas. The treatment finishes with a full-body massage. NOTE: 120 minutes is the ideal suggested treatment time. For a 90-minute treatment, reduce the length of massage time.
Ayurvedic Lymphatic Detoxification Body Wrap and Massage (90 minutes)
Indications: Lymphatic Tissue Cleansing This lymph stimulation and detoxification treatment begins with overall body dry brushing to stimulate the lymphatic system. Ayurvedic and Western herbs specifically known for lymphatic stimulation and detoxification are blended with an aromatherapeutic castor oil mix that is applied to the body. The body is then wrapped in a warm Mylar blanket for 30 minutes while a stimulating facial mask is applied and Ayurvedic head and facial massage is given. The herbal-oil body mask is removed with warm wet towels. The treatment finishes with a full-body lymphatic massage.
Honey-Herbal Moisturizing Vata Body Wrap and Massage (90-120 minutes)
Indications: Dry, Dehydrated Skin A luxurious, rich blend of honey, lecithin, powdered rose petals and Ayurvedic herbs is lavishly applied to dry-brushed skin on overall body. The body is then wrapped in a warm Mylar blanket for 30 minutes while the face is cleansed, exfoliated and a moisturizing mask is applied, followed by a deeply moisturizing, aromatherapeutic facial massage. Ayurvedic Cucumber-Aloe Pitta Body Wrap and Head Massage (90-120 minutes)
Indications: Sunburned, Reddened, or Irritated Skin, Excess Body Heat A cooling, aromatherapeutic-hydrating mask made of cucumber, aloe, lavender, herbs and yogurt is applied to overall body, which is loosely covered with a sheet. While the body is calming, an Ayurvedic head and scalp massage is given to relax and calm the mind, the face is cleansed, an anti-inflammatory mask is applied, and a relaxing facial massage with cooling oils is given. The basis of this treatment is an incredible blending of sea salts infused with active organic botanical ingredients that include traditional Ayurvedic herb powders, seaweed and spirulina. This treatment will be customized to your specific needs. Ideal with a Vichy shower or hydrotherapy tub yet versatile enough for a dry treatment room. Combined with a massage and wrap, this treatment can be adapted to either Western or Ayurvedic techniques.
