Healing Now and Then
Shankara products are manufactured on a peaceful property in the Dry Frio Canyon called Reagan Wells, located in the Hill Country of Texas.
The 130-acre property is also the home of the Art of Living Foundation, which is working in association with its sister organization, the International Association for Human Values. Ongoing programs are taught that provide participants with the practical knowledge and techniques to unlock their deepest potential and bring fullness to life. So far, the Art of Living Foundation’s service projects, trauma relief, and stress-reduction and self-development programs have benefited more than 25 million people on six continents, in more than 140 countries around the world.
In the late 1880s the Reagan Wells property started to become known for its mineral waters. It became a thriving health resort around 1916 and attracted many people from all over until the mineral baths closed shortly after 1945.
In 1972 the grounds and facilities of the health resort were converted to the Steps of Faith Ranch, a nonprofit organization providing guidance and rehabilitation for troubled boys and girls.
Shankara is proud to be part of, and to continue the healing tradition of, the area with the production of pure, natural, result-oriented products based in Ayurvedic wisdom that supports health and well being in partnership with the Art of Living Foundation and the IAHV foundation.
